Pakistan mourns 51 at least deaths after twin accidents occur on same day
At least 51 people were killed in two separate accidents that occurred on January 29 in Pakistan involving a bus accident and a boat capsizing.
According to the NDTV, a bus carrying 48 passengers traveling from Balochistan's capital Quetta to Karachi hit a bridge pole on the highway, drove into a ditch and caught fire. So far, 41 people have been reported dead following the accident.
Meanwhile, up to nine people are still missing in the waters with a rescue operation under way after a boat, carrying between 25 and 30 school students on a day trip from a local school, overturned in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As per the local police, all of the dead children have so far been recovered from the lake, which were all between the ages of seven and 14. He said 11 more children had been rescued, with six in critical condition. However, up to nine more remain missing.
