Pakistan refuses to participate in Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland

Spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said that Pakistan refuses to participate in the Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland.

“Switzerland had invited Pakistan to take part in the summit, but the Pakistani side was forced to refuse due to other commitments. However, Pakistan is making efforts to ensure global peace,” she added, TASS reports.

Ninety states from around the globe have signed up to attend the summit aimed at finding a route to sustainable peace in Ukraine.

The aim of the event on June 15-16 is to agree on a path towards ending the war that started nearly 28 months ago when Russian forces invaded Ukraine.
