Pakistan’s foreign minister arrives in Shanghai for AI cooperation events
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Shanghai on an official visit, where he will take part in events focused on advancing international cooperation in artificial intelligence on July 16–17, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.
During the visit, Dar is expected to sign, on behalf of Pakistan, an agreement establishing the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organisation (WAICO), making the country one of the founding members of the new body, Caliber.Az reports.
Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50, along with the delegation, has arrived in Shanghai, China, for an official visit from 16-17 July 2026.

The Pakistani foreign minister will also attend the opening of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference and is scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event.
