Pakistani official accuses India of sponsoring terrorism

30 April 2025 12:43

Pakistan’s Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, has accused India of hiring terrorists to carry out attacks within Pakistani territory, asserting the presence of irrefutable evidence of New Delhi’s alleged involvement in cross-border terrorism.

Tarar made the explosive claims on his official account on social media platform X, where he shared screenshots that he claimed substantiate the accusation, Caliber.Az reports.

“This is how proof is presented. Irrefutable and undeniable evidence of Indian sponsored terrorism by official DGISPR.

Pakistan has taken India to the cleaners in the narrative domain .Truth always prevails. Pakistan Zindabad,” Tarar wrote, accompanying his message with images purporting to be digital proof.

He further reiterated Pakistan’s position as a nation that has long suffered from the devastating impacts of terrorism and continues to advocate against it globally.

The comments come amid escalating tensions in the region and follow recent reports that Pakistani security forces had neutralized 71 militants near the border with Afghanistan. The government has not officially linked those individuals to India, but the timing of the statement has fueled further speculation about regional proxy conflicts.

Meanwhile, in a grave escalation of regional tensions, Minister Tarar alleged that Pakistan possesses “credible intelligence” indicating India is preparing to launch military action against it within the next 24 to 36 hours. Tarar made the announcement, asserting that the anticipated aggression is based on what he described as “baseless and concocted allegations” linking Pakistan to a recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam.

Tarar issued a stern warning to New Delhi, cautioning that any act of hostility would provoke a swift and resolute response. Emphasising Pakistan’s long-standing position as a victim of terrorism, he reaffirmed the country’s consistent condemnation of such acts in all their manifestations.

The minister also revealed that Islamabad had proposed a “credible, transparent, and independent” investigation into the Pahalgam attack, to be conducted by a neutral panel of experts. However, he accused India of rejecting this diplomatic overture in favour of a confrontational posture.

Calling for heightened global awareness, Pakistan appealed to the international community to closely monitor the situation, warning that any military adventurism by India would be met with an assured and decisive countermeasure.
