Pakistani prime minister postpones Russia visit amid regional tensions

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has postponed his planned visit to Russia, citing the deteriorating situation both within Pakistan and across the region.
The Pakistani government announced the decision on social media platform X, stating: “In view of the current regional and domestic political situation, the Prime Minister, after consultations, has decided to postpone the visit to Russia. A new date will be determined after mutual consultations,” the statement read.
Sharif’s visit had been scheduled for 3–5 March.
