Palm Beach Airport officially renamed after Donald Trump

Florida's Palm Beach International Airport has been officially renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport, becoming the latest landmark to bear the US president's name.

The change was made under legislation approved by Florida lawmakers in March and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis on March 30, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

The renaming follows a separate decision by DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet in September 2025 to donate land in downtown Miami for the future site of Trump's presidential library.

According to information published by the airport, the Federal Aviation Administration granted final approval for the name change on July 9, although updates to signs and other materials will be introduced gradually.

Trump’s son Eric shared a video on X showing his arrival at the newly renamed airport.

Airport authorities said operations and passenger services would continue without disruption during the transition period.

The airport's International Air Transport Association (IATA) code is also set to change to "DJT" on August 18.

Trump has long attached his name to a wide range of businesses and products, including real estate developments, consumer brands and commercial ventures.

The report noted that shortly after the Florida legislation was adopted, Trump moved to trademark both the name "Donald J. Trump International Airport" and the DJT airport code, requiring Palm Beach County to enter into a licensing agreement to use the new official designation.
