Parents of dead Armenian soldiers demand to punish responsible individuals
The parents of the soldiers who died in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region are protesting near the Armenian Defence Ministry on August 10 to meet with the defence minister and regiment commander Pavlik Kyaramyan, whom they consider responsible for the death of their sons.
Parents are indignant because Kyaramyan was awarded with the Order of the Combat Cross of the first degree, which is one of the highest awards in Armenia, according to News.am.
The father of one of the victims said that Kyaramyan should tell the relatives about the circumstances of the death of their sons, and why the soldiers remained in their combat position without a commander.
The father of Zhora Sahakyan, who died in the war, Vahrid Sahakyan, said that the Defence Ministry informed that the ministry could not call the battalion commander Pavlik Kyaramyan for a confrontation.
