Parisian auction house to sell dinosaur skeleton

An almost complete dinosaur skeleton will be put up for sale at a Parisian auction house. 

As reported by Euronews, the 150 million-year-old camptosaurus was discovered in the 1990s in the US. The dinosaur nicknamed "Barry"  dates back to the late Jurassic period and measures 2.1m in height and 5m in length. 

Experts believe it might sell at up to €1.2 million during the auction at Hotel Drouot on October 20.

"The skull is complete at 90% and the rest of the dinosaur is complete at 80%", the auction house said. 

According to the publication, the selling of dinosaur fossils is rare, with only a small number taking place each year globally. In April, a Tyrannosaurus rex was sold at auction for the first time in Europe.
