04 April 2026 11:00

The Pentagon has released updated figures on US casualties in its ongoing operation against Iran, known as “Epic Fury”, confirming that 365 American service members have been wounded since the campaign began.

The majority of those injured are from the US Army, accounting for 247 personnel. A further 63 belong to the Navy, 36 to the Air Force, and 19 to the Marine Corps.

The death toll remains unchanged at 13. Of those fatalities, seven occurred in combat-related incidents: six during an Iranian airstrike on a base in Kuwait, and one from injuries sustained in Saudi Arabia.

The remaining six deaths were non-combat and resulted from the crash of a refuelling aircraft.

Among the deceased are 10 men and three women, with most holding mid-level ranks. Age distribution shows five were over 35, four were between 31 and 35, three were aged 25 to 30, and one was under 22.

Of the wounded, 319 are men, and 43 are women. The largest group of casualties falls within the mid-ranking enlisted category (E5–E9). In terms of age, the most affected cohorts are those aged 25 to 30 (113 personnel) and those over 35 (116).

Breaking down service status, 201 of the injured are active-duty personnel, 110 are reservists, and 54 are members of the US National Guard.
