Pentagon does not believe Belarus will enter war against Ukraine despite joint exercises

The US defense ministry sees no signs that Belarus is preparing to enter the war against Ukraine, despite participating in joint exercises with the Russian Federation.

This was stated by a high-ranking representative of the Pentagon, as reported by the European Integration agency.

"We know that Russians and Belarusians are going to conduct joint exercises. We see no signs that Belarus intends to enter the conflict", he said, adding that the US believes that this is a continuation of the exercises between Belarusians and Russians and nothing more. 

The publication recalls, that Russia and Belarus are planning a joint exercise for aviation units to be held in Belarus scheduled for January 16 to February 1, with the involvement of the two countries' regional groups of troops.
