Peruvian shamans conduct ritual predicting global events for 2026
In Peru, a group of shamans performed a seaside ritual to forecast events for 2026, according to the Associated Press.
During the ceremony, the shamans consumed natural hallucinogens, danced to traditional instruments, and held portraits of world leaders. Some portraits were burned, others trampled, while swords were crossed above them and incense burned.
Their predictions include the continuation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and other global wars. They also issued a warning regarding US President Donald Trump, forecasting serious illness in 2026 and urging the United States to prepare.
Additionally, the shamans predicted that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro will leave office next year. In Peru, they forecast that Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi, daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, will win the presidential elections. She has run for the office three times previously.
The accuracy of the shamans’ forecasts remains questionable. In late 2024, they predicted a nuclear war between Israel and the Gaza Strip, which did not occur. However, in December 2023, they correctly foresaw that Alberto Fujimori would not remain in prison.
