US pickleball team dies in aviation crash while heading to tournament

A pickleball team from the Amarillo club in the United States has died in a plane crash, Fox News reports.

According to the broadcaster, the athletes were traveling to a tournament in New Braunfels, Texas. The crash occurred near the town of Wimberley, also in Texas.

Air traffic controllers recorded unusual manoeuvres from the aircraft shortly before it disappeared from radar. The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
