PM Tusk keeps Poland on elevated terror, cybersecurity alert

30 November 2025 17:39

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has extended the country’s second-level terrorist and cyber threat alert until the end of February 2026, the government’s Center for Security announced on X.

The extension applies to critical infrastructure and cybersecurity, specifically under the Bravo and Bravo-CRP levels, per Caliber.Az.

The Bravo alert level has been in place since April 16, 2022. Following a railway sabotage incident in eastern Poland in November 2025, the government temporarily elevated the threat to the third-level Charlie on certain railway infrastructure sites.

Under Polish anti-terrorism legislation, the prime minister can designate one of four threat levels—Alfa, Bravo, Charlie, or Delta—depending on the likelihood of an attack or actual terrorist activity. The highest level, Delta, is reserved for imminent or occurring attacks.

Similar threat levels marked with the CRP designation apply to cybersecurity, enabling authorities to strengthen monitoring and protection of information systems against potential disruptions.

By maintaining the Bravo alert, Poland signals continued vigilance over both physical and digital security amid ongoing regional and global risks.
