Poland bolsters defence with arrival of advanced M1A2SEPv3 Abrams tanks
The latest version of the American Abrams tanks, the M1A2SEPv3, has arrived in Poland, further strengthening the country’s military capabilities.
Polish Deputy Minister of National Defence Paweł Bejda confirmed the delivery, announcing that 19 M1A2SEPv3 Abrams tanks had arrived in the country, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"Some 19 American M1A2SEPv3 Abrams tanks have arrived in Poland. Soon, they will be integrated into the Polish army’s arsenal," Bejda stated on social media. This new batch adds to Poland’s growing fleet of Abrams tanks, which already includes 116 units of earlier versions.
In addition, 38 new M1A2SEPv3 tanks were delivered earlier this year as part of Poland’s efforts to modernise its military. The M1A2SEPv3 Abrams is recognised for its advanced features, including composite armour, an upgraded fire control system that ensures accurate firing even while the tank is in motion, and the ability to fire high-explosive fragmentation rounds.
