Poland delivers 45 military aid packages to Ukraine worth over $4 billion
Poland has delivered 45 military aid packages to Ukraine worth approximately €4 billion, according to the country’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
Speaking during a keynote address in the Sejm, Poland’s lower house of parliament, Sikorski confirmed that Warsaw is now preparing to dispatch a 46th aid package to Kyiv, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
“Up to now, we have provided Ukraine with 45 packages of assistance valued at around €4 billion. At present, we are commencing deliveries under the 46th package,” Sikorski said, as reported by the Russian news agency Prime.
He also underscored Poland’s role in the training of Ukrainian forces, noting that nearly 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers have received training on Polish soil, accounting for roughly one-third of all Ukrainian troops trained under NATO-led efforts.
Poland has been one of Ukraine’s staunchest allies since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, frequently advocating for increased Western support and military assistance.
Beyond material support, Poland has played a pivotal role in training Ukrainian forces. Out of approximately 80,000–90,000 Ukrainian soldiers trained across EU nations, Poland has trained about 28,000, highlighting its leadership in this area.
Poland's military aid has included a range of equipment, such as tanks, fighter jets, and armoured vehicles. Notably, Poland has supplied over 250 T-72 tanks, 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks, and 14 MiG-29 fighter jets to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities.
