Poland deploys missile defence system over Warsaw for first time in history
The Polish Ministry of National Defence has written that for the first time, the Polish military deployed the Wisla missile and air defence system over the country's capital, Warsaw.
Its basis was the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, Caliber.Az reports citing the ministry’s message on X.

The ministry noted that the first combat duty of the Patriot system will begin on October 6.
Polish Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak called it a “historic and innovative event”.
“Warsaw receives missile defence based on the Patriot system for the first time. Soldiers will begin duty by using this modern system from October 6,” the statement said.
