Poland evacuates two border crossings with Ukraine, PM says

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said two border crossings with Ukraine had to be evacuated during a Russian attack on nearby facilities.

Speaking at a press conference with his Bulgarian counterpart, Rumen Radev, in Warsaw, the PM stressed that this situation forces them to act very consistently here in Poland and to cooperate with Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports, citing Polish media.

Tusk warned Europe and European partners that these are indeed difficult times and that they need to prepare well for the coming weeks and months.

“We once again had to evacuate the border crossings in Hrubieszów and Dorohusk. You can imagine the losses and nervous tension this causes,” he noted.

Tusk stressed that “so far, there is not the slightest sign of goodwill on the part of President Putin and Moscow.”

“I also informed Prime Minister Radev about cases of sabotage and strange incidents that are recurring in Poland and causing serious problems with our railway infrastructure,” the prime minister added.
