Poland mobilises air defence, military aviation

On the morning of September 24, Poland began using military aircraft in its airspace in response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian regions, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

The Operational Command mobilised the necessary forces and assets at its disposal.

In particular, Polish ground-based air-defence systems and radar reconnaissance systems were placed on heightened readiness.

The measures are preventive in nature and are aimed at ensuring the security of Polish airspace.
