Poland plans to call up to 300,000 people for military service, training in 2026

Poland plans to call up as many as 300,000 people for military service and training in 2026, according to a decree issued by the country’s Council of Ministers.
The decree outlines a broad range of recruitment and training measures aimed at strengthening Poland’s armed forces, Caliber.Az reports.
Up to 13,500 people are expected to be recruited for professional military service, while as many as 200,000 individuals will take part in various forms of military training.
In addition, the government plans to call up to 8,700 people for service in the active reserve, 39,000 for voluntary basic military service, and up to 40,000 for the Territorial Defence Forces.
