Poland plans to supply Ukraine with new batch of self-propelled howitzers
Poland plans to transfer more than 50 Krab self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.
AHS Krab is a self-propelled howitzer on a tracked chassis manufactured by Huta Stalowa Wola SA. Poland has already transferred 18 such vehicles from the reserves of the Polish Army to Ukraine, the PAP agency reports.
The agency added that a contract was also signed between Kyiv and Warsaw for the production and transfer of 56 of these self-propelled units.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has already thanked Warsaw for the weapons provided. They called Polish self-propelled guns “weapons of victory.”
It is reported that since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Poland has also transferred Piorun man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems, Grot carbines, PT-91, T-72, Leopard 2 tanks, and MiG-29 aircraft to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Deliveries of Rak self-propelled mortar systems and Rosomak infantry fighting vehicles are being prepared.
