Poland scrambles aircraft amid Russian strikes on Ukraine
On the night of September 6 to 7, Poland put its air defence and radar surveillance forces on high alert and scrambled combat aircraft.
According to a statement from the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, these measures were taken in response to a massive Russian missile strike on Ukrainian territory, per Caliber.Az.

Polish and allied fighter jets were active in the country’s airspace. In particular, the operation included F-35 fighters from the Royal Netherlands Air Force ensuring security.
“The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, and subordinate forces and assets are fully ready for immediate response,” the statement said.
Later, the command reported that operations in Polish airspace had concluded following the cessation of strikes on Ukraine.
