Poland to build electronic barrier on border with Russia

Poland plans to start construction of an electronic barrier on the border with the Kaliningrad region of Russia later this year.

Spokeswoman of the Polish Border Guard Anna Michalska has said that the barrier will be built both on the border with the Kaliningrad region and along the border river Bug, RBC-Ukraine reports.

She noted that construction of the fence is due to begin by late 2022.

Michalskaya also added that there are also plans to build an electronic barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border. Poles with cameras have already been erected on the perimeter.
