Poland to receive first Bayraktar drones in October
Poland will receive the first Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) purchased from Turkey in October.
The announcement came from the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, Wojciech Skurkiewicz, on VNeT radio this week.
“As early as October, the Bayraktar UAVs will enter service with the Polish army,” he said.
In addition, according to Skurkiewicz, "already in the fourth quarter of this year, the Polish army will be equipped with Patriot missile defence/air defence systems, which will also become an important strengthening of missile and air defence."
When asked about the supply of tanks, including American Abrams and South Korean K2 Black Panthers, he recalled that, according to agreements between the Polish and Korean sides, the first deliveries should begin at the end of 2022.
“So at the end of the year, this Korean equipment will undoubtedly be put into service with the Polish army,” he noted.
