Poland, Ukraine reach agreement on grain export issue
Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Robert Telus has said that Poland and Ukraine have reached an agreement that Ukrainian grain will not be transported to Poland for unloading.
Following a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Mykola Solskyi, Telus revealed that the details of this agreement will be shared with the public on April 17, according to BNN.
On April 14 evening, Minister Telus disclosed that he and Minister Solskyi had discussed the grain issue in a phone conversation, ultimately reaching a mutual understanding.
“Everything is agreed upon, meaning that Ukrainian grain will not flow to Poland to be unloaded there,” Telus said. The decision was made during a meeting at the border in Dorohusk, with both parties working together to finalise the matter.
Minister Telus also announced that Minister Solskyi will be visiting Poland on April 17, where they will officially unveil the details of the agreement. “We have settled a very important matter, and I hope to announce it officially on April 17,” Telus stated.
This resolution between Poland and Ukraine showcases the spirit of cooperation between the two nations in addressing agricultural matters of mutual interest. The details of the agreement are eagerly awaited by the public and will provide clarity on the future of grain transportation between these countries.
