Poland, US sign offset deals for Apache helicopter supply
Poland's Defence Ministry has officially signed two offset agreements with US companies Boeing and General Electric, securing the supply of 96 Apache attack helicopters.
The signing ceremony, broadcasted by TVP Info, marks a significant step in strengthening Polish military capabilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Deputy Defence Minister Pawel Beyda, representing Poland, underscored the importance of these agreements. The offsets will focus on developing local maintenance and repair capabilities for the Apache helicopters. Infrastructure for these services will be established at military aircraft repair plants in Lodz and Dęblin.
Additionally, US companies will provide training for Polish engineers at the Jarosław Dąbrowski Military Technical Academy in Warsaw, ensuring the local workforce is equipped to support the new equipment.
