Poland considers sending more Patriot missiles to Ukraine

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says Warsaw is considering a new military aid package for Ukraine, including Patriot missiles.

At a press conference broadcast on the social media channels of the Prime Minister's Office, Tusk noted that following this incident, together with the defence minister, he will review as soon as possible the issue of providing additional military assistance to Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

"Following this incident, together with the defence minister, I will review as soon as possible the issue of providing additional military assistance to Ukraine, including Patriot missiles, if necessary," Tusk noted.

The announcement came after an unidentified munition fell overnight in Poland's Lublin Voivodeship.

Earlier, Tusk made it clear that Poland was "ready to shoot down the missile if it continued its flight. Everything indicates that it was a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile."
