Police seize hundreds of illegal weapons from Arab communities in Israel

Authorities in northern Israel have seized approximately 200 illegal weapons in recent weeks as part of a targeted law enforcement campaign aimed at reducing violent crime within Arab communities, according to the Israel Police.

The operation, referred to as “Targeting,” has resulted in the confiscation of a range of weapons, including grenades, pistols, rifles, improvised explosive devices, and locally produced rockets, Caliber.Az reports. 

Police said that since the beginning of the year, more than 200 individuals have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in violent offenses, including shootings and extortion.
