Polish authorities probe missile debris found in private garden
A fragment of a missile has been discovered in a garden in the village of Jarosławiec in Poland’s Lubelskie Voivodeship, prompting an investigation by military prosecutors.
The owner of the property reported the object to the authorities, after which investigators and a team from the Military Police unit in Lublin were dispatched to the scene to secure and examine the site, Caliber.Az reports via Polish media.
According to the Military Police, officers are conducting a detailed inspection of the object and the surrounding area, searching for any additional debris and interviewing witnesses. The case has also been referred to the regional military prosecution office.
Preliminary assessments suggest the object is a small fragment of a missile used by the air force to intercept Russian drones that entered Polish airspace during the night of September 9–10, 2025.
