Polish, Israeli presidents discuss regional security matters
Polish President Karol Nawrocki and Israeli President Isaac Herzog held a phone call on security issues on February 3.
According to a post by the Polish President’s Office on X, the call was requested by the Israeli side, Caliber.Az informs.
The two presidents discussed the history of Israeli–Polish relations and emphasised the potential for closer cooperation in various areas. Recent developments in the region were also addressed, along with the importance of striving for a safer and more peaceful future.
“The main topic of the conversation was matters concerning security. Additionally, the leaders discussed the state of bilateral relations, including planned future contacts,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Israeli President’s Office in turn also took to X to share details of the phone talks.
“Earlier this evening, President Isaac Herzog held a call with President Karol Nawrocki of Poland. President Herzog congratulated President Nawrocki on recently assuming office and invited him to visit Israel,” the Israeli President’s Office wrote.
The post said the two presidents discussed "the most recent regional developments and the importance of advancing toward a more secure and peaceful future for the region."
