Polish PM describes Trump’s NATO decisions as "Putin’s dream"
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on recent global developments, including U.S. threats to leave NATO and halt support for Ukraine.
Sharing his views on X Tusk highlighted the U.S. decision to ease sanctions on Russian oil and Hungary’s blocking of an EU loan to Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports.
“The threat of NATO’s break-up, easing sanctions on Russia, a massive energy crisis in Europe, halting aid for Ukraine and blocking the loan for Kyiv by Orbán - it all looks like Putin’s dream plan,” he wrote.
US President Donald Trump has asked European allies for a lot lately – the use of military bases, the potential relocation of missile defence systems and generally stronger support for US military action against Iran.
Many responses have been lukewarm, with allies offering limited defensive support but also repeatedly calling for de-escalation. But increasingly, White House requests have been met with a firm “no.”
