Polish PM: Time to confiscate Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine
"Europe must show a stronger political will to support Ukraine. After all, the aggressors should know that sooner or later they will have to pay for the damage they have caused," Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.
He made the statement while speaking at Ruprecht-Karl University in the German city of Heidelberg, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"I want to say to all European leaders: 'It's time to confiscate Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine and reduce energy costs for Europeans,'" the politician said.
Morawiecki said that the war was now being fought over common European values, and Ukrainians were fighting not only for themselves, but also for the freedom of the whole of Europe.
"Our future also depends on the outcome of this war, on how it will end," the Polish prime minister added.
