Polish PM Tusk: US ready to station troops in Ukraine after conflict

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on December 30 that the United States is prepared to deploy troops in Ukraine as part of post-conflict security guarantees.

“An important outcome of the discussions between President Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the American declaration of readiness to participate in security guarantees for Ukraine after peace is achieved, including the presence of US forces,” Tusk told TVN24.

The Polish premier noted that this represents a new development and has even surprised some international partners.
