Polish president calls Hungarian election outcome sovereign choice of people

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has stated that the results of the parliamentary election are the sovereign choice of the Hungarian people.

Speaking to journalists, Nawrocki congratulated the prime minister on winning the election, Caliber.Az reports, citing French media.

He said the citizens’ decision deserves respect.

“The thousand-year Polish–Hungarian friendship must continue; it is above parliamentary elections,” the Polish president said.

Nawrocki stressed that he is ready to work with any government formed through democratic means.

“I will cooperate with everyone chosen by free nations, for the good of the republic,” he added.
