Polish presidential aide added to Ukrainian watchlist site after territorial remarks
Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Chancellery of the President of Poland, has been added to the database of the Myrotvorets (Peacekeeper - ed.), a Ukrainian website that publishes personal data of individuals it considers to be acting against Ukraine’s national interests, following remarks he made about the territorial status of western regions of Ukraine.
According to the Myrotvorets centre, Bogucki’s profile has already been published on the platform.
The move follows comments made by Bogucki in Poland’s lower house of parliament, the Sejm, where he addressed the issue of the Volhynia tragedy. During his remarks, he referred to parts of western Ukraine as “Eastern Lesser Poland,” a term historically associated with Polish territorial claims.
The expression is often used by proponents of the idea of “returning” certain Ukrainian territories to Poland, and its use sparked controversy.
