Polish top diplomat: "Stop destroying Russia’s future" VIDEO

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has accused Russia’s leadership of “panicking” over the mounting pressure caused by its war in Ukraine.

Addressing the UN, Sikorski said Moscow’s escalation reflected growing pressure on the Kremlin after more than four years of what he described as a “senseless colonial war”.

“Russia is escalating because Russia’s leadership is panicking,” he said.

“After more than four years of a senseless colonial war, Vladimir Putin has achieved nothing.”

Sikorski said Russian President Vladimir Putin was "running out of troops and resources" and needed a reason to mobilise.

The Polish foreign minister then addressed Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov directly, urging him to pass his message to Putin.

“You can stop this imperial war of choice at any time. Don’t endanger Europe and the world any further. Stop destroying Russia’s future,” Sikorski said.

“Sergey, I know you’re listening. Tell your boss: Enough is enough.”

He also said the war had caused heavy losses for Russia and put millions of people in Ukraine and elsewhere in Europe at increasing risk.

“His unnecessary war has killed or wounded one and a half million Russians.”

“Millions of Ukrainians and other Europeans are increasingly in danger.”
