PostEurop suspends membership rights of Russia and Belarus post offices
The Association of European State Postal Operators PostEurop suspended the membership rights of Russian Post and Belpochta.
The remarks came from UNIAN referring to the press service of Ukrposhta.
“For the first time in the history of the existence of the Association of European State Postal Operators PostEurop, the membership rights of Russian Post and Belpochta have been suspended for an indefinite period,” the message says.
Suspension of membership in the association means that the postal operators of Russia and Belarus lose the opportunity to participate in the civilized development of the postal industry.
PostEurop is an association of state postal operators in Europe, one of the founding associations of the Universal Postal Union. PostEurop was created in 1993 to simplify postal circulation in Europe.
