Powerful explosion at Baku business centre injures five people PHOTO/VIDEO

A powerful explosion rocked the AFEN Plaza business centre in Baku’s Narimanov district on the morning of November 24, leaving five people injured.

The blast occurred around 9:00 a.m. GMT+4 on Ahmad Rajabli Street, Caliber.Az reports via local authorities.

Emergency services were promptly dispatched following a call to the Republican Centre for Emergency and Urgent Medical Care. Two ambulance crews provided first aid at the scene before transporting the victims—two men and three women—to the Clinical Medical Centre with injuries of varying severity.

Firefighters from the State Fire Service and the Special Risk Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with personnel from the Baku Regional Centre, responded immediately to extinguish any fires and secure the area.

Police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs cordoned off the site and implemented security measures while investigating the cause of the explosion.
