President: Belarusian warplanes ready to carry nuclear weapons
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has said that Belarus is ready to instantly respond to the West's threats.
The US military equipment is being unloaded as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, President Lukashenko told journalists, BelTA informs.
The president noted that the helicopters and equipment will be also transferred to the Eastern European countries.
"They should understand that no helicopters or planes will save them if the situation is escalated. Together with Russian President Vladimir Putin we once said in St Petersburg that we would also transform Belarusian Su planes to carry nuclear weapons. Do you think we are just talking about it? All is ready! So let them bring it, Lukashenko said.
"Let them think. I warned them. God forbid if any provocation is made against Belarus. We have determined goals. We know about decision-making centres. I do not threaten anyone. So don't worry. They are watching us, and we are watching them. To be honest, I should say that at the moment (not everyone is crazy in Poland: if Polish President Andrzej Duda is crazy, then the military are not fools, they understand that return fire will be made) they are not escalating the situation on the border. They built this wall and they saw that they are not protected from migrants. Migrants need three minutes to overcome the wall. Why was the money invested? They built a wall for some money, other part was misappropriated. A futile idea. However, the military is well aware that it is impossible to aggravate relations with Belarus because this is an aggravation of relations with the EAEU member state having nuclear weapons. If they start creating problems, the situation may be even worse for Belarus. We will respond immediately," the president added.
