President Erdogan: Türkiye may ensure distribution of Russian gas to Europe
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Ankara will be able to ensure the distribution of Russian gas to European countries through the Turkish Stream.
The Turkish leader made these remarks while delivering a keynote speech in connection with the coming centenary of the republic, Anadolu Agency reports.
“As a result of our negotiations with Russia, we, God forbid, will ensure the distribution of natural gas from the Russian Federation to Europe through the Turkish Stream,” he said.
President Erdogan announced on October 19 that he had agreed on the creation of a gas hub to provide European countries with fuel with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A gas hub in Turkey could be created at the point of the Turkish Stream branch in the Kirklareli province.
