President Radev: Bulgaria encourages stability, security in South Caucasus
Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has said that Bulgaria promotes stability and security in the South Caucasus.
“Sofia is involved in many initiatives in cooperation with Azerbaijan,” President Radev said in an interview with Baku TV, Report informs.
“Bulgaria is also looking for solutions to strengthen peace and security in many important spheres. For this reason, Bulgaria is involved in many initiatives in cooperation with Azerbaijan. We encourage stability and security in your region,” the president said.
The Bulgarian president said that special attention is paid to the energy issues between the two countries.
The president emphasized that strong ties are required to create a multidimensional, full-scale strategic partnership.
“Our relationship is the key to our future success. Therefore, we share many ideas for the development of our future activity. Together with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, we discussed the benefit which can be obtained as a result of the geostrategic position of our countries. More efforts must be used to develop a multimodal transport corridor connecting Asia and Europe. We must take advantage of Bulgaria's route to the Black Sea,” the president added.
