President Trump “not sure” about attending son’s private Bahamas wedding PHOTO

The US president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is set to marry Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson this weekend in a private ceremony on a small island in the Bahamas, according to two people familiar with the plans, CNN reported.

The wedding is expected to be highly intimate, with a guest list of fewer than 50 people and limited to immediate family and close friends. One person familiar with the arrangements said the U.S. president is not expected to attend the ceremony.

The president, however, appeared uncertain about his attendance when asked in the Oval Office on May 21.

“He’d like me to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it,” Trump told reporters.

He also cited competing diplomatic priorities.

“This is not good timing for me,” he added. “Everything called Iran and other things.”

Reflecting on the political sensitivity of the decision, the president added:

“That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed,” the president said.

According to sources, the couple deliberately planned a small and secluded ceremony to maintain privacy and limit security complications that typically accompany events involving senior political figures.

Donald Trump Jr.’s siblings are expected to attend, while the broader guest list has been kept tightly restricted.

One source said the president was long expected not to attend, partly due to the private nature of the event. His public schedule does not currently list the trip, and the White House has not confirmed his attendance.

The wedding will be Trump Jr.’s second marriage. He was previously married to Vanessa Trump, with whom he shares five children, before their divorce in 2018. Vanessa Trump recently announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Trump Jr. was previously engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, now U.S. ambassador to Greece, from 2020 to 2024.
