Presidential office: Ukraine not to surrender in exchange for light
Adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office Mykhailo Podolyak has said that Ukraine will continue convincing its Western allies of the need to more quickly supply weapons that would protect against Russian terrorism.
“Ukraine will not surrender in exchange for light,” RBC-Ukraine reports citing Podolyak’s statement made during the interview with Channel 24.
“When we are negotiating, when we are talking with someone at different venues, we say that you know, you will give it to us anyway because you will be unable to watch how people are committing “genocide” against other people. You will give us ATACMS [MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile Systems], Leopard or Abrams armoured vehicles, any armoured vehicles,” he said.
The advisor noted that the Ukrainian side explains the need for a faster supply of weapons, and the partners understand this, but "they still cannot do it because of the fear of war, we are in different spaces".
“We can't lose a war. We will not refuse the war for the sake of capitulation in exchange for light. You will hand over missile defence systems to us in any case, because we should protect the sky to reduce the number of killed people in the 21st century, because civilians were quietly staying at home in Kyiv or Vinnytsia,” he said.
