Pro-Armenian democrats seek to impeach Trump

House Democrats are preparing a series of investigations targeting President Donald Trump, his administration and his family if they win control of the chamber in the November midterm elections, according to senior Democratic lawmakers.

With voters set to determine control of Congress for the second half of Trump’s final term, Democrats are already outlining how they would use congressional investigative powers if they regain the House, Caliber.Az reports, citing Fox News.

Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., said his initial focus would be the Department of Defence, citing what he described as risks to service members, corruption, incompetence and nepotism.

Crow, who serves on the House Armed Services and Intelligence committees and co-chairs the House Anti-Corruption Caucus, also did not rule out another impeachment effort against Trump or members of his administration.

“It's one of several tools that Congress has to pursue accountability, to get information, and to attack corruption,” he said. “I won't hesitate to use that tool if that's the right one. But there are other tools available to us, too.”

Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., who is expected to chair the House Oversight Committee if Democrats regain the majority, said he was already working with presumptive House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jamie Raskin, D-Md., on potential investigations.

Garcia identified several areas of focus, including alleged corruption involving the Trump family, the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), corporate wrongdoing, and what he described as the “destruction of our vaccination process” under Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr.

Raskin has already signalled that his committee would investigate the business dealings of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr. and FBI Director Kash Patel, among others.

Republicans have warned that a Democratic victory in either chamber could significantly hinder the GOP’s legislative agenda.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., previously told Fox News Digital that Democrats would seek to impeach Trump “on Day 1” if they won the House.

Notably, Democrat Jason Crow is a member of the Congressional Armenian Caucus (CAC) and regularly receives assessments from the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) for his legislative record. He maintains ties with representatives of Colorado’s Armenian-American community on issues related to recognition and security.

Democrat Robert Garcia is also a member of the CAC, where his legislative activity and position on pro-Armenian issues are monitored and evaluated by the ANCA.

Congressman Jamie Raskin also works closely with the ANCA. The committee has expressed gratitude to the Democratic congressman from Maryland for co-sponsoring a bill on education about the “Armenian genocide.”
