Pro-Iran cyber group claims large-scale attack on Israeli data centres
Iran's cyber support front has claimed responsibility for a new wave of cyberattacks targeting Israel’s military and government communications systems.
In a statement circulated online, the group said the operation was conducted “in defence of the Iranian people” and in honour of a “martyred commander, Imam Khamenei," Tasnim reports.
The group claimed that more than 160 data centres supporting internal networks in various Israeli cities were targeted during the operation.
According to sources cited in the statement, the cyberattack disrupted military, government, and private communication systems and resulted in the destruction of significant amounts of data and documents. The group further asserted that the incident caused widespread disruption to Israel’s defence infrastructure.
