“Project Freedom”: US vessels resume transit through Strait of Hormuz
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that two American commercial vessels, which had been blocked in the Persian Gulf since February 28, have successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
“American forces are actively assisting efforts to restore transit for commercial shipping,” the command said.
According to CENTCOM, the ships are now continuing toward their next destination as part of an operation named “Project Freedom.”
