Prosecutor General's Office: Over 1,000 children suffered in Ukraine since beginning of war
More than 1,078 children have suffered due to Russian aggression since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
Some 362 were killed, while 716 were injured, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office.
So, a 13-year-old boy was killed while two more children aged 12 and 13 were injured as a result of the shelling of a residential building in Kharkiv on August 17.
Most of the children have suffered in the Donetsk region – 376 children; in Kharkiv – 202 children; in Kyiv – 116 children; in Chernihiv – 68 children; in Luhansk – 61 children; in Mykolayiv – 60 children; in Kherson – 55 children; in Zaporizhzhya – 40 children since the beginning of the war.
"These figures are not final as the work is underway to reveal the number of children in the areas covered by intensive hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the message says.
