Prosecutors question Poland's Nawrocki over free use of museum apartment
15 July 2026 16:07
Polish President Karol Nawrocki has been questioned as a witness by prosecutors in connection with the alleged free use of an apartment during his tenure as director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk.
“President Karol Nawrocki was questioned as a witness in his office in Warsaw, where a prosecutor from Gdańsk arrived specifically for this purpose,” Mariusz Duszyński, spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk, told Polsat television.
The investigation, launched in February 2026, concerns suspected abuse of office linked to the alleged provision of a service apartment to Nawrocki for free use in 2020 while he was leading the museum.
