Putin confident in continued strong relations between Russia & Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin does not doubt that relations between Russia and Iran will continue to develop progressively under the new leadership of the republic.

The Russian leader met with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the margins of the BRICS Parliamentary Forum on 11 July, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

"Relations between our countries are developing very successfully. Very recently, your country held presidential elections. I want to express my hope and have no doubt that relations between Iran and the Russian Federation will develop as progressively as they did under Mr. Raisi, whose death we all regret and mourn," Putin said.
