Putin, Pashinyan to meet in Sochi on June 9
Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on June 9, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
He said that the president is on a working visit in Russia’s Sochi city, TASS reports.
"Putin will hold a separate working meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan," the Kremlin spokesman announced.
Pashinyan and Putin last met on the margins of the Eurasian Economic Union summit in Moscow on May 25.
The Armenian premier left on a working visit to Sochi on June 7.
During the visit, Pashinyan took part in the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States. He will also participate in the work of the Third Eurasian Congress.
According to the Russian government, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council’s meeting in Sochi, held as part of Russia’s presidency in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 2023, looked into a wide range of issues related to trade, economic cooperation and integration in Eurasia.
This was the second meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in 2023. The previous one took place in Kazakhstan’s Almaty in early February.
