Putin to embark on rare four-day visit to China

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a rare multi-day visit to China from August 31 to September 3, marking a significant diplomatic engagement with Moscow's key strategic partner.

The details of the trip were confirmed by Yuri Ushakov, the president’s aide for international affairs, in an interview with Russian state broadcaster VGTRK, according to Caliber.Az.

"Yes, that's correct. There are several events scheduled," Ushakov said when asked about the duration of the upcoming visit.

Although extended foreign trips are uncommon for the Russian leader, the four-day itinerary in China signals the importance Moscow places on strengthening its ties with Beijing amid ongoing geopolitical tensions with the West.
